Close ratio Gears are an excellent product for those who like to compete in Trial and Sprint events, or those wishing to tour with their car. With two different ratios available 20 Tooth to 27 Tooth (Four door or two door) or 18 Tooth to 29 Tooth (Coupes and Phaetons) - we can improve your driving experience and improve acceleration ability.

Important Notes:

It is strongly recommended that a quality lay shaft (BE lay shafts are made of hardened steel), new bearings and a good quality condition tower and components are used in the gearbox when assembled to prevent issues such as jumping out of gear.

It should be further noted that loose fit on the mainshaft could be an indication of an early mainshaft that had a Ford Service bulletin issued and a new shaft was changed from 1.2465 to 1.2485 width.  BE gears may not function correctly with the earlier shaft.
